Accounting for adding and removing products
Playaway’s product offerings vary greatly each year, and introduce new products fast, while also sunsetting products. We created a homepage with a responsive Product Feature Box for each product to accommodate this. We can now easily add and remove products at a moment’s notice.
A single marketing banner, always
Before our redesign, our site used a homepage slider for banners that ended up being a catch all for all marketing aspects. Our analytics proved that our users never navigated through the slider. After experimenting with adjusting timing and slider controls, we ultimately decided to only have one banner show on the homepage. This helps us focus our marketing efforts on one intentional choice every few months.
New product photography
Before, we were using renders of all our products on our site. We wanted to have our site use photography of our products on our homepage to help further explain what our products are. My role was to concept how each product will look for the shoot.
A customer hub for our users
In 2020 we launched our My Account page. This page houses all the crucial information a librarian would need for their library system’s account — what kind of discount they’re qualified for, how much money they have left in their monthly SOP, their order history, all the users in their system, and much more to come in 2021.
